I have been part of Conexx since 1998 and I have served on various ad hoc committees through the years. I am currently on the Board, the Executive Board and on the Board of AIEI, Conexx’s 501c3 affiliate. I got involved with Conexx because it was a great way to combine my professional life with my personal interest in the State of Israel and pro-Israel causes. I just started going to meetings in the late 90’s, and I was “hooked.”
There is no better organization that brings together like-minded people interested in expanding business relationships between the United States and Israel. Through Conexx, I have met so many amazing people and been exposed to some of the most exciting companies in the world.
There are so many opportunities for U.S. and Israeli companies to work together, and Conexx is the premier match making organization converting these opportunities into real transactions (sales, investments, strategic alliances, etc.). There is over a billion dollars’ worth of business that can trace its genesis to a relationship initially made through Conexx. That’s pretty impressive given Israel’s small size and the existential security threats it faces daily.
Currently, I am an Executive Managing Director with Savills Studley, a global commercial real estate services firm. I represent tenants/occupants in commercial real estate transactions. Conexx has exposed me to Americans and Israelis committed to growing the bi-lateral business relationship between the two countries. I have learned first-hand about secrets behind the “Start-up Nation” and how both countries can benefit by doing more business together. Some of my closest friends and business relationships have come through Conexx. I can’t imagine Conexx not being part of my personal and professional life.
