Medical College of Georgia (MCG) offers students more than 50 degrees and majors in academic programs including dentistry, medicine, nursing, and allied health sciences. Students can pursue their bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees as well as one-year and advanced certificates. Enrollment is at more than 2,400 students, nearly 90% of whom are Georgia residents. The college, founded in 1828 as the Medical Academy of Georgia, is also home to MCG Medical Center and the Children’s Medical Center. MCG includes a number of institutes and research centers such as the Alzheimer’s Research Center, Cancer Center, and the Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center.
