Recognizing the rapid convergence taking place, the Chamber has merged its former Software and Communications committees into a new Hi-Tech Committee, and has named technology industry leader Adam Coffsky, global account manager at Gartner, as its chairman. Adam’s previous positions included executive positions with Israel-based Aladdin Knowledge Systems and Atlanta-based Internet Security Systems and Thor Technologies.
The committee plans to present quarterly event meetings built around hot technology topics that will feature presentations by Israeli companies, the host company’s perspective, Q&A, and brainstorming on the Israeli companies and their potential for success in the US market. The first session, focused on Big Data, will be hosted by IBM at their Barfield Rd. facility in Sandy Springs on September 13th, 7:30 to 9:45 AM. Future sessions are being planned around Mobility, IT Security, and Visionary Technologies. Sponsorships for the series or individual sessions are available.
