Conexx Young Professionals Group to Host Rubicon Global Founder Marc Spiegel

The next Conexx Young Professionals event is set for a stellar evening as they host Rubicon Global founder Marc Spiegel. The event will take place on Tuesday, February 28 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Rubicon’s Head Quarters, Atlanta Plaza, 950 East Paces Ferry Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30326.

The Conexx Young Professionals event aims to bring together the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs to meet, network and get involved with Israel in a way no other organization can facilitate.

Rubicon Global logoThis Young Professional’s event will feature Rubicon Global, a cloud-based waste solutions provider with a mission to eradicate waste through cost savings and technology. Founded by Marc Spiegel and partner Nate Morris in 2008, Rubicon was born from generations of family work and expertise. Spiegel’s family has been in the waste recycling business for 108 years – he is the 4th generation to work in this sector and, with his partner and team, they are taking their business into future.

Marc Spiegel RubiconGrowing up in Louisville, KY, Spiegel had been working in his family’s waste and recycling hauling company. But as the youngest in his family, Marc saw an opportunity to modernize what was an archaic model for business. With the sustainability movement gaining traction, Spiegel and Morris, who were childhood friends, determined there was a lot they could do with waste management, specifically providing clients with an alternative to landfills. This became a key piece to their new model and, since 2008, Rubicon Global has been trusted by companies including Under Armor, Wegmans, 7-Eleven and the Salvation Army.

Rubicon’s approach to waste management and recycling revolves around technology. To make this industry compliant with businesses needs in the 21st century, Rubicon utilizes data in ways that are revolutionary for the waste management sector, such as accurately forecasting outputs, scheduling services, and looking for opportunity to divert from landfills. But Rubicon and Spiegel never sought out to simply help one side of the equation. In order to move the industry forward, they needed to create technology platforms that helped the hauling side connect with the customer side – something nobody has ever done. Giving customers access to real time data and information, and helping them make decisions that benefit their efficiencies and the environment, is how Rubicon Global is changing the game.

Come hear Marc Spiegel’s fascinating story and his vision for the future of waste management and recycling. The Conexx Young Professionals event is open to the public. Register now for this event or, for more information, contact Orna Sharon.
