Most often, we think of the Israel business opportunity around acquisition of cutting edge innovation and technology from Israel and bringing it to the US market.  While this assumption is certainly valid, we often ignore the other side of the equation—selling US products and services to Israel—mainly due to the perceived market limitations of that small country.

But the Israeli market is much more robust than one would imagine, and with more than 25 years since the passage of the US-Israel Free Trade Agreement, there are many opportunities for Southeast companies to engage in selling to Israel.  In recent months, we have organized two seminars on selling to the Israeli military in Charleston and Huntsville.  And next week, we will present a special seminar on Exporting to Israel that will feature the leaders of the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce.

The Embassy of Israel Commercial Mission and the Foreign Ministry’s Foreign Trade Administration recently published an excellent brochure on The Next 25 Years of Israel – United States Free Trade.  Please take advantage of these excellent resources and the service of AICC to help you explore the Israeli market for your company or firm.
