I got involved with Conexx because I’ve felt an emotional connection to the land and people of Israel my entire life. As I began to grow into my professional career, Conexx was a very natural outlet for that connection. Through Conexx, I see an opportunity to blend my passion with my profession, finding innovative ways to build mutually beneficial business relationships with Israeli companies.
I got involved with Conexx through my husband. We are recently married and both share a commitment to give back to the community that has given us so much. After meeting with Conexx VP Barry Swartz this past summer, I decided I wanted to get involved. Since then, my husband and I have both attended various events and meetings, and have been thoroughly impressed by each one. In early January, I was honored to be asked to Chair the Young Professional Group, which has been tasked to create valuable events and programming that helps my young Atlanta peers realize the professional opportunities that exist by working with Israeli companies.
I’m proud to work at SalesLoft, one of the fastest growing start-ups in the southeast. At SalesLoft, I cultivate new business opportunities with various companies and organizations, helping them realize their sales potential through our innovative software solution. Everyone knows that Israel is the start-up nation, and after transitioning this past fall into a start-up myself, the connection (no pun intended) was obvious.
Although there are many wonderful organizations that support Israel in different ways, I choose to invest my time and energy with Conexx due to the professional synergies. Having the ability to build and cultivate relationships with Israeli entrepreneurs and business leaders is something I thoroughly enjoy. Conexx allows me to tap into my passion to support Israel. The ability to expand my horizons professionally while meeting and working with the people of a country I love and believe in is very special to me. I’ve spent a great deal of my life studying the U.S.-Israel relationship. If I can play even the smallest part in strengthening that bond, that’s a win in my book.
