Built around two outstanding Israeli Health-focused conferences in Tel Aviv—IATI Biomed and MedInIsrael—the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce, SE Region organized a delegation from the Southeast to Israel in June. Led by Chamber Vice President Guy Tessler, the group members promoted their own firms, the Southeast, and AICC.
Members from Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee participated. They included Caroline Young (Nashville Health Care Council), Charlie Harrison (Critical Strategies), Dawn Ely (Global Success Centers), Alan Minsk (Arnall Golden Gregory), and Katherine Malmay-Bazemore (Cocoon Resources). They connected with Israeli company prospects, members, investors, and industry organizations, and the feedback was positive and enthusiastic.
“I was grateful for this opportunity to meet some excellent companies among the 600 attendees, and was impressed by their entrepreneurial spirit which is similar to that of our members in Nashville,” said Nashville Health Care Council president Caroline Young who was a panelist at the MedInIsrael conference.
Dawn Ely, CEO of Global Success Centers, who came to Israel for her second Biomed visit added, “My first trip to Israel was very successful with the assistance and connections made for me by the Chamber. My second trip was exponentially more successful, and if Israel and doing business with Israeli companies is of interest, making regular trips is not only essential, but very productive.”
